Thanks to our sponsors RIAO will be able to support a limited number of students with a technical accepted contribution at the RIAO-OPTILAS 2025 Conference, to be held on November 17-21, 2025, in the Universidad Privada Boliviana at Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
The support will consist of the payment of the registration fee to the RIAO-OPTILAS 2025 Local Organizing Committee on behalf of the participating student.
To apply for support please email a formal request signed letter to Secretariat@riaof.org no later than October 17, 2025; accompanied with the following attachments:
- Acceptance notification letter.
- Valid proof of student status.
- Support letter issued by a professor, stating the reasons why it is important for the student’s career to attend the RIAO-OPTILAS 2025 Conference and how will this participation help his/her group to establish future collaboration links with their colleagues in Iberian America.
Those students applying for the support agree to present their accepted technical contribution as well as to fully attend the technical sessions of the RIAO-OPTILAS 2025 Conference and all other collocated student-oriented activities, in particular the Quantum Optics School (the First IPS-RIAO Topical Workshop on Optics and Photonics).
Those students granted with the support agree to allow RIAO to collect photographs, testimonies and any other audiovisuals from their participation the RIAO-OPTILAS 2025 Conference’s activities.
We are also pleased to inform you that the submission system remains open, and new student contributions will continue to be accepted. We strongly encourage students to take this opportunity and submit their work.

🏆 Student Poster Contest – RIAO-OPTILAS 2025
All student participants are invited to take part in the Student Poster Contest, which recognizes outstanding research presented during the conference.
Awards:
🥇 1st Place – USD 100
🥈 2nd Place – USD 70
🥉 3rd Place – USD 50
Important:
All students who received travel or registration support are required to prepare and present a poster as part of their participation in the conference. Oral presentations will still take place as scheduled.
Poster format:
There is no mandatory template — participants are free to design their posters according to their preference, as long as the scientific and visual information is presented clearly.
